Group Financial Controller
Sheraz Tarar is a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA) and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and with over 10 years audit & internal controls, IFRS reporting and financial management experience.
He was previously Senior Manager – Finance, at Aster DM Healthcare Group in Dubai where he had oversight of financial management, MIS reporting, budgeting and performance management. At Aster, he implemented budgetary control and introduced business intelligence & analytics to empower decision making and derive business critical insights that helped boost profitability. Prior to this he was Manager – Assurance Services, at BDO International in Dubai, where he worked on IFRS implementation, internal controls review and managed statutory audits. He was also member of IFRS technical and training committee at BDO.
Sheraz received a BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, UK in 2004 and is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). He is candidate for Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) qualification and is also a member of Information Systems Audit & Control Association (ISACA) and Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).
